Vibratory conveyors use controlled vibration to move product along a flat or slightly inclined deck without mechanical paddles or belts touching the product surface. The vibration frequency and amplitude are tuned to the material to achieve the required feed rate and product orientation. This non-contact conveying is particularly valuable ahead of grading, inspection, and colour sorting equipment where a single layer of evenly spread product is required. Vibratory feeders at the intake of processing lines control the feed rate into the plant from hoppers and bins. Vibratory conveyors are also used for gentle cooling and drying of product after processing.
